At the ACPC / Highrise new church home:
25 Union Street, Auckland City
Auckland Chinese Presbyterian Church has been in the city for 99 years. As the name indicates, we began as a church for people of Chinese descent. With many of our people growing up with English as their first language, we are developing into a multi-cultural church where everyone is welcome. We run both Cantonese and English services at 10 am on Sundays. The English congregation is now known as Highrise.
We purchased our new premises in July 2019. Finally, after more than three years, we have moved in! There is still more to do, especially signage, painting, leasing the ground floor (we are about to sign someone up) and Level 2. But we now have a fabulous new facility that we want to share with our local community. We are available for bookings and we offer programmes such as table tennis, English classes, community dinners and student gatherings.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to our neighbours and friends to come and have a look at our facilities on Saturday 12 November, anytime between 10:30 am to 2pm. Cookie Café (27 Union St) will be open to sell coffees and food. We will be running various carnival-style games for kids and families to participate in, a small market, crafts, ministry expo and lunch for everyone. We will have a short “formal” programme at 12pm to thank all the contractors and their families for their huge effort over the past 18 months to get our building ready, followed by lunch (gold coin donation appreciated.) So – there’s something for everyone!
